Boba Jazz Band is a formation of Cracow’s jazzmen. The group is led by renowned Polish pianist, Jan Boba.

Cracow has several famous theatres, including the Narodowy Stary Teatr (the National Old Theatre), the Juliusz Słowacki Theatre, the Bagatela Theatre, the Ludowy Theatre, and the Groteska Theatre of Puppetry, as well as the Opera Krakowska and Kraków Operetta.

The city’s principal concert hall and the home of the Kraków Philharmonic Orchestra is the Kraków Philharmonic (Filharmonia Krakowska) built in 1931.


Boba Jazz Band consists of musicians of two generations, and represents a mixture of experience and competence with youth and spontanenousess that is reflected in well-known their concerts.

Boba Jazz Band’s repertoire is mainly based on the notorious and popular standards, brought out over the years by such jazz greatest.

Including L.Armstrong, B. Goodman, D. Ellington and many others.

Boba Jazz Band also plays compositions which were written for musicals and films, from New Orleans style to blues, swing to boogie woogie.

The group is ambitious and wants its every concert to bring much happiness and gladness. They wish the same to you.
